The Taquirari, has its beginnings in the eastern part of Bolivia: Santa Cruz, Beni, and Pando. Its rhythm is joyful, a characteristic of the happy “Camba”.
The word Taquirari comes from the Moxeña word “takirikire” that means arrow. With this dance, the aborigines give tribute to the “arrow” that provides their daily needs and defends them against their enemies. |
